So it's 2017 and I've decided that this is the year. I have enrolled into a 15-week portfolio prep course and I'm going to apply for an illustration course as soon as my portfolio is ready! A new name for a new journey... Hello Floof!
I love the name Le Fluffé as I'd really like a café-shop-gallery studio space one day so it encompasses that vision of a community hangout space but I thought the fancy é might cause issues with finding my brand online etc. When I lived in Japan, I found that foreign-sounding brand names were very popular and French names (although sometimes questionable... Cul de Paris springs to mind... cul meaning butt) so I liked the idea of my brand having international, exotic appeal. I decided that could still be the name for my wee café if I ever open one.
Hello Floof! feels more modern and accessible, as well as more fun and affectionate - as if you were speaking to a dog. That's a nice thing to do. Doggos are the best. It's a welcoming name to match a big-hearted brand.
